Can anyone explain whats wrong here?


Assumption: class Dog is a subclass of Animal.

This question is asked in Head First Core Java by K&B in Collections and Generics chapter.

There is nothing wrong with this statement. It's perfectly legal.

The line of code doesn't have class Dog in it. Are you sure that line is what you meant, or did you mean something different?
