Opening new window with special behaviour

Hi all,
I got I little problem thats driving me nuts for some days:
I want to open a new window of fixed size and give it the parameters of an <html:link> tag.
This is what I have got:
1.

and then later in the code:
2.

The Code up just opens a newindow, but how can I open a new window with the behaviour of 1. AND the parameters of 2. I tried various things, like storing 2. in a bean or combine 1. in 2. with just a <html:rewrite>, but nothing worked out for me.
If you have any suggestions, I would gladly hear it.
Thanks!

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
