Hello fellow ranchers,

I have Tomcat 6.0.20 on Windows 7 Pro. Everything worked perfectly and I had no problems developing my Struts application, until some time ago, which I start to get this error from time to time (not always) on different actions in my application:

Before going to the stack trace, I should mention that if I go back in my browser and resubmit the action everything works properly again!! It seems that this error is somehow related to how Tomcat works with the files or allocates the resources but it can't manage to do it properly, because I had changed nothing in my system configuration before this nasty error started to appear.

Any clues?

Thanks in advance.

Hey all,

I'm getting the same error and i'm using windows 7 with tomcat 6.0.18.

Did anyone find solution for this problem?

I resolved this issue, as well as other IO errors, by disabling the indexing service on the tomcat folder as well as on the folders where our application stores data.

You can either disable the indexing engine completely or select the area you want to be excluded from indexing with the "indexing options" panel.
