jsp:forward issue

I am having an issue with the jsp:forward tag.

I forward say from page1 to page 2. I have a javascript function decalred in the head of page 2 which I
call from the body of page2. But I get a javascript function not found error.

Also there are certain texts and buttons that are displayed on page 2 taken from page 1.

What do I need to do so that the page2 does not get any content from page1 and to include the
javascript to call in page2.

Thanks,
D

If you don't want the output of both pages, why are you forwarding?
