Probelm with command buton in JSF

I have a command button in JSF and what I have seen sometimes it works and sometime it does not work. I used etheral to see whether request is going to server or not and when the button does not work, there is no request going to server.
Can someone please explain me this inconsistent behavior and how to solve this issue?
