Hi,

I´ve already done little things using java, but i´m completely newbie in web development. I was acting as a project manager in a private company and recently i´ve been working in the government. Here, in my new job, people use JAVA, SEAM and facelets to develop web applications, but i don´t have much support and i´ve decided do the work by myself.

I have to learn the concepts related with JAVA, Web Development, SEAM and facelets as quick as i can and i need help. Wich books do you suggest? For the basic of JAVA, i´ve studied Head Fisrt Java. Now i´m studying Head First Servlets & JSP, but i don´t know if this book will bring me all the basic concepts i need to develop web applications using SEAM.

Can you help me please?

Thank you.

SEAM is a long way away. Servlets are the basic starting point for web development. First get through Servlets and JSP's then you can some XML concepts then you can move onto bigger things. But learning and mastering Servlets and JSP's would take some time! Best of Luck!

HFSJ does not cover Seam or JSF at all - it's about Servlets, JSPs and EL. Those are vital concepts you need to understand before tackling some other framework. A working knowledge of JSTL is also very helpful (you can find a tutorial on that linked in the JspFaq).
