Finally I cleared SCWCD with 98%. I don't know why can't I get all the answers correct, missed 1 question in SCJP and SCWCD. I actually started my preparation last year, but then I just halted on the custom tags chapter of HFSJ book. I had read custom tag development from JSP complete reference book, and it went mostly over my head. After about a 4 months of pause I read the custom tags chapter and I understood it completely. All hail to the authors Bryan, Kathy and Bert.
I read the HFSJ book 3 times, read the Servlets and JSP spec and used this doc as reference for JSTL. Then I did marcus green's mock exam, Niko's mock exam and trial versions of commercial mock exams . The exam was mostly very easy, only 3-4 questions were real brain benders. I missed 1 question in the JSTL section.
My Biggest motivation was this line from the SCWCD FAQ
There are also unconfirmed rumors that a high percentage will increase your confidence around members of the opposite gender.
A question to authors of HFSJ, on page 318, there's a word written as f***, it explains that its a funny word, may I know which funny word it is
Time for a change in my signature I guess

Amazing Ankit! Congratulations!!! I'm sure you'll make 100% in your next exam. =)
So is it possible to pass this exam only with the HFSJ book? Good to know. I need to buy this one. :]
Hi,
Hey buddy, if you will get 98% in your all next exams (SCBCD, SCJD, SCEA, SCSA, etc.) again so maybe you will enter in a list to the Giinness book of records...

Maybe, but I have no plans of giving any sun certifications now, I'll go for SCEA sometime but Struts, Spring and Hibernate have a higher priority for me right now...

Congrats on your results.... Hey when you say you read the HFSJ book 3 times.... do you read the book from page1 to the end 3 times??? OR read the important, tough topic only
how much time does it take for you to read the book one time???
I didn't read the book completely even once. I skipped chapter 1,2 and 7 on the first pass. Then on the second and third pass I skipped chapter 1,2,3,4,6,7 and 13. I did the coffee cram mock exam after the third pass and failed in it . I found some of the questions ambiguous like option C of question 65 and a few others. Then I did Marcus green's mock exam and scored 96, 95 and 94% on the three mock exams. That gave me some confidence. Niko's mock exam was also good, although it doesn't provide any explanations, but the correct answer is all that's needed in most cases to know the pitfalls...
