What do you think ranchers about EXT-JS?
It looks filthy rich and extremely powerful.
Do you have personal stories to share regarding it? do you think it worth to invest time in it?
I'm not considering Dojo because it looks a dead project to me (hardly read any thing about it these days) and JQuery UI isn't a rich suite.
Thank for your time.
The place where I work used to use it. The widgets are powerful and have everything in the kitchen sink. They may sound good, but the size of the js payload is very big. If you care about 508, you will find out that the controls really suck with screen readers. Their paid support was not the greatest. Sometimes the reply was, you fix it.
I used Dojo when it was on their first version. I hated it back than, but the library has really changed since when I used it. I could not tell you anything about it really.
I personally use jQuery. I bet you are looking for widgets which jQuery UI really lacks with. We use jQuery UI, but we built our own framework on top of it for the missing widgets. I would not recommend jQuery UI at this time.
I think for common use cases jQuery-UI works just fine. I use the tabs, dates and dialog for quite a bit of stuff and it works just fine. Eric works on some complicated systems so his comments I'd speculate are more geared towards power users of the library. I also use jqGrid for my data grid needs which works very well and in one instance needed a tree so used a jquery tree called jsTree. Both of which are compatible with jquery-ui's themeroller which makes things a bit easier.
