Assignment look & feel and behaviour

Hi SCEA5 Architects/Gurus,

My index.html is having 3 frames, i) Header ii) Navigation menu(left pane), iii) body.

Header is having only the assignment name

Navigation Menu is having all the links like Introduction, tiers, design patterns used, risks & mitigations, assumptions and diagrams.

All diagrams will open in a new window adjusted to screen width.

And other links like tiers, assuptions etc will be described in the body part.

Is this approach okay?

My another question is, in order to open in a new window I'm using javaScript and is resulting in a "popup
window blocker" and reviewer need to click on ok to see the pages in new window.

Is this behaviour acceptable?

Any input on this is helpful.

Best Regards,
Sri.

Thanks for your reply,

But, I don't think so. I'm not talking about a particular requirement of my assignment. In general I'm asking the look & feel and behaviour of the assignment.

Best regards,
Sri.

I don't think there's anything wrong with what you're proposing. My only worry would be your use of JavaScript, i.e. why complicate matters. Also, why bother with a header? All you're doing is reducing the real estate available for your diagrams.

At the the end of the day, as long as you've complied with the requirements stipulated in your assignment's documentation you should be fine.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
