I've been working with constructing one website which used to run as an independent site in all aspects on a Jboss server (as a war file deployment).
Let's say the site is accessed as <http://www.myserver.com/mycontext/servletName>. This site keeps downloading the newer versions of cab files as and when they are changed. So far as it's an integrated environment we can do a full window refresh and nothing goes wrong.
Recently because of changes in some requirements, that site is being called in a frame from a different site. Now the parent site for my site is: <http://www.somesite.com/>
Now the frame that's getting called in the "BottomFrame" downloads some cab files. Because of security violation we cannnot reduce the security settings of the browser.
When the cab file download request comes and a yellow bar appears in the top we click on it and allow the download. During this time we want the page refresh to happen only for the site present in the "BottomFrame". Please suggest an approach where we have to make changes only in the pages in www.myserver.com.
If the entire window is refreshed then because of some internal mechanism the session data of my site is lost completely and I'm not able to go back to the current page.
This code modification should be done only in my code (the one deployed on the www.myserver.com).
