Redirection from a servlet doPost method

I have a multipart upload code in my doPost method which looks like this:

I get an error message as so:

If I uncomment the sendRedirect instead I get:


I have two applications, after logging in with a admin login on one application, they are redirected to the multipart update html page of another application.
This html posts to a servlet, I get a blank page when it posts to the servlet. I want it to redirect to the originating jsp where i want to write the file.
Not sure how to do this.
