How to Change Cruise control Build Numbers

Hi All,
I am new to cruise control, when i checked in any file in cruise it is building automatically(cruise control is in remote) it is generating build number as build.2 i want to change this build number as build.2.2.3
where I need to change to get what i am expecting, do i need to change in my build.xml or in cruise control config.xml
can any one give me suggestions to solve this.
