Program runs fine but i get a red line message as under . I am wondering what else details that i can provide for a better solution . I would deeply appreciate any criticisms or suggestion .

Caught IOException: c:\Admin\Documents\NetBeansProjects\project_275\Log\log.txt (The system cannot find the path specified)

You mean the program runs fine except for the minor issue that it doesn't write the data it's supposed to write, because you told it to create a file in a folder which doesn't exist?

Actually my path was wrong in the example that i posted...admin\documents are not under c: . But my point was if my path was c:\\log.txt a file named log.txt that i want the code to create and i want to write data in it , Vista was not letting me do that so i wanted a way out .
