Are you asking about how to create a class which performs all the work of ActionServlet or how to use such a class in your application?? ActionServlet is just a servlet which is configured in the web.xml. It does a lot of tasks which in my opinion no one would like to implement themselves. If you want some control over request processing, then you can implement your custom RequestProcessor. There are tutorials like this about how to create a custom RequestProcessor...
