Logging to windows event logs

Can I log to windows event logs without using a "dll" (or any other native dependencies) from my java app ?

Log4J as an Appender that can log to the event log but it does use native code for that.
 
With a little knowledge, a cast iron skillet is non-stick and lasts a lifetime.
