Hello Rainer:

I am a newbie with Java on the server side. I am working in a small project with JFS, dynamic faces extension and Hibernate. I have never used ICEfaces. Could your new book help a person who has a little experience? On the book website it says:
You need a basic knowledge of the Spring Framework configuration through annotations and the usage of JPA annotations.

I know nothing about Spring Framework ... I don't still use Annotation. I like books with practice approach and no trivial examples... ICEfaces is eassier than Dynamic faces (AJAX) extension?

Looking forward hearing from you.

I'm looking for a book that uses eclipse with examples using the IDE. Does your book have eclipse examples?

The book is for experienced JSF developers, sorry. I had about 250 pages and even those pages were not enough to write about all ICEfaces aspects. Maybe this helps a bit:

I describe how to install the ICEfaces plugin and other tools that you need to create an Eclipse environment. But, you should have some experiences to import the Maven source codes to play with those in the IDE. There was not enough room to help Eclipse beginners in every step, sorry.

BTW: Many thanks for the warm welcome to all members of this community.

I hope that my work helps others to get into all this ICEfaces stuff more quickly. I invested a lot of time in the source code to get more information into the book project although the number of pages was pretty limited ;-).
