2 quistions that i cant find on the sun certification site.

1.)

After i have finished the step 1. i have to upload my programs, then i get a score and if got The minimum passing grade of 320 i can take step 2.
I got 12 months for the first part, but what is the time limit of part 2 ?

2.)

Do i get a certificat on step 1. and a certificat on step 2, or do i get one certificat, with the date, that i passed step 2 ?

Hi Frank,

Answer to your 1st question can be found in the ScjdFaq of this site, or just click here.

Regarding your 2nd question: just 1 certificate (because the essay exam is only to prove that you developed your assignment yourself and not a friend who is really good in Java for example). The date on the certificate will be the date you submitted your assignment.

Kind regards,
Roel

Thanks

Can i take my own material with in to the part 2, i get maybe those quistions:

List some of the major choices you must make during the implementation of the above.
List some of the main advantages and disadvantages of each of your choices.
Briefly justify your choices in terms of the comparison of design and implementation objectives with the advantages and disadvantages of each.

Can i take some notes while making my project, why i have made the choises i have made, or is it like the SCJP and SCWCD where i dident have the possibillity to take some matrial
to the certifikation ?

How you bring you java project with in to the promotions center ?

As a .jar file, but on a floppy disk, or on a usb key or ?

Hi Frank,

You could answer your first question yourself if you had read my first post carefully (and did a bit of thinking):
Roel De Nijs wrote:the essay exam is only to prove that you developed your assignment yourself and not a friend who is really good in Java for example

Your friend (who is really good in Java) can write lots of pages with all answers to all possible questions and you will just have to copy the correct answer with the appropriate question on the essay exam. So that would prove nothing about your knowledge, thus obviously you are NOT allowed to bring your own material into the examination room.

If you did the effort to read the ScjdFaq carefully (and not the one topic I showed in my previous post) you would have found the answer yourself. You have to upload it on the same website where you downloaded your assignment.

Kind regards,
Roel
