Granted I am bias. The best book to get started using Struts is the one I co-authored with James Goodwill. This book has short tutorials on how to get started with Tiles, Valdiator Framework, and more. It has the best coverage of Tiles and the Validator framework. The book is designed with begginners in mind. The best practices chapter is golden.

BTW I am the geek on the right.
"When I first started with struts, I read several pieces on the subject, but none of it "jelled" for me...that is up until I read this book." Reviewer from Amazon.
Nov 19, 2003 A review from Boston, USA It's a great book for beginners and others This book is really amazing and I have referenced 2,3 other books for struts, but this one is the best. The concept of 'struts' is beautifully explained in a very simple way. I surely recommend this book! Reviewer from BookPool.
I put my heart and soul into the chapters on Tiles and the Validator framework. I think they are the best coverage going. The book is really geared for people who want to get up to speed quickly with Struts. I am available for doing Struts training, consulting, and mentoring [ December 30, 2003: Message edited by: Rick Hightower ]
