I'm running JBoss 5.1.0 with JDK 1.6 and having problems trying to start our cfusion.ear. It was working fine until a developer added an almost empty jboss-web.xml file while trying to get some code to work. I tried removing the xml file but had no luck. When trying to start the EAR file it was giving the "Web mapping already exists for deployment URL" error. I renamed the ROOT.WAR file and tried to start the cfusion.ear but it is now failing with the following details:

I'm new to JBoss so thanks for any help

I thought there was a forum thread where this was discussed earlier, but i couldn't locate it now. I think the cfusion.ear packages some jars which are already available in the JBoss server. Do you have any JBoss specific jars in the ear?

No, there are no JBoss specific jars in that ear file that I know about. I changed the name of the Root.war but then JBoss admin console wouldn't start up. What else do I need to change?

Thanks for the help.

I just deleted and re-deployed the ear file and all seems to be working now.

Thanks again
