Creating a DataSource object

This is a combination of a JSP and struts question, I do not know if this is the correct forum however here is my question:
I am trying to create a oracle.jbo.html.DataSourceImpl object within a struts action class, and register the DataSourceImpl object so that a jsp page can access it; the equivalent of this tag
<jbo ataSource id="_dynamicDS" appid="AppModule" Vewobject="dynamicVo" />.
Anyone has any ideas on how this can be done?
Thank you

Welcome to the Ranch "Forum Guy"!
You'll find this forum a great place to seek help on JSP pages, and there aren't many rules you'll have to worry about, but one is that proper names are required. Please take a look at the JavaRanch Naming Policy and change your display name to match it.
In particular, your display name must be a first and a last name separated by a space character, and must not be obviously fictitious.
Thanks!

This is probably more appropriate to Struts, so I'm moving it along to there.

Struts does not have tags that manipulate DataSources directly.
Struts encourages a Model 2 architecture, which forbids such things.
I think you will find what you are looking for with the JSTL SQL tags.
I would send you a link, but I am sure if you searched for those keywords in google. It would return good stuff.

Thanks for the input Rick, I realize that I am breaking the model; the reason is I have to make struts work with some of our old code. I need to access the datasource on the page because we have a tabular display mechanism (tags and the whole nine) which runs off of this object. Do you or anyone know of a way to implement a tabular display with click sorting using struts and jsp.
Thank you.
