Its nice to come back to JAVA ranch. I am planning to add another certification in my bank. I want to do spring certification, I googled on internet and Found that i need to either attend a 4 days training which is so expensive or show my contribution to development of spring framework, this seems to be a feasible option.
I have 2 queries:
1) my contribution to Javaranch forum, will it be consider a development to spring framework ?
2) I have a book "Spring in Action" by Manning. Is it a book to clear the certification?
I hope some expert will take the pain to reply to my queries here.
1) Unfortunately JavaRanch isn't affiliated with SpringSource, so no that isn't the same as contributing to the Spring Framework
2) Also unfortunately, Spring in Action currently covers version 2.0, the test covers 2.5, so while the basics of Core Spring is in that book, you probably would be better to wait till they upgrade and make a new version of that book.
I don't recall there being a way to just buy a voucher for their test, but I can ask them.
