Fala Julio!
Champion, I believe their queue right now is pretty large. I believe they are having problems with their system... some people have been waiting for their results way more than they should, you know... so, the thing now is to be patient

I have sent an email also as I want to upload my assignment but haven't recieved a reply. I have looked at the SCJD FAQ to upload the assignment but I still can't find the page where I can upload the assignment. Anyone know what I need to do?

Hi Julio,
Thanks for the reply
I have followed that URL and entered my user name and (want I think is my ) password but the details appear incorrect, so I have gone to the password reminder screen and entered all the details of my sun programmer certifcation which are correct and exact and the system fails to locate me. This system is very frustrating, any ideas would be much appreciated
Cheers,

Hi David;
You must use your sun ID like SR7647676 or something.
Good Luck

Hi Julio,
Yes that is the ID that I am using but it is the password that I am having problems with, and the password reset function doesn't seem to work!
Cheers

Thanks

Hi Kee Kee Chen,
Welcome to the JavaRanch!
Don't high-jack someone else his thread. Choose an appropriate forum (SCJP, SCJD or another sun java certification) and start a new topic yourself. You should read this first.
Kind regards,
Roel

It depends on the query. I contacted Sun on who2contact regarding my SCJD certificate and I heard back from them after 1 month and on another occasion I contacted them telling them that I am not able to make a payment for a certification exam voucher and I got a phone call from them the next morning.

Hi,
I know a guy who has submitted his assignment last year in September/October. No reply from Sun until now. I had more luck. I am manually testified (after 3 months), but I have no clue what my result is. I guess 401 from 400 points (my Story).
They told me in a email, there is a issue with the Prometric testing system, which prevents the exam score to transfer to a database. Well this information is already one one month ago.
Anyway, good luck for you.
cheers
Bob

So you are the one responsible for crashing the system that transfers prometric scores to sun's certification database/manager

I guess 401 from 400 points
Hence Bob will be explaining how he gained 1 extra-point by
doing something more-than-needed.

I am having issues as well with trying to contact anyone to help with providing issues to upload my assignment. I have sent emails to both the prometric site and the who2contact accounts and have yet to receive a response.
I emails last Wednesday 17th Feb and I took the exam on the Friday 19th, yet I have still not received a response and can not upload my assignment. Is this an issue with the back log, or is this normal. When should I start panicking? Is there anyone else left to contact?

Hi Jeffrey,
That's quiet weird. Normally if you request your rights to upload your assignment they (should) answer immediately (within the next business day) and give you the necessary permissions. Just send an email (with an appropriate subject) to who2contact@sun.com and you should be able to upload your assignment tomorrow (and uploading your assignment after taking the essay exam is not a problem according to ScjdFaq). Don't forget to mention your sun (candidate) id and prometric testing id.
Kind regards,
Roel

I have sent an email everyday for the past week and had no response. Why are Sun so slow to deal with?

I don't know, maybe it has something to do with the acquisition by Oracle and some reorganisations...
Kind regards,

Hi Roel,
Still no answer from who2contact. Do you know for a fact that there is some reorganisations? How is this going to affect the exam marking process? I am getting a little worried here that all the hard work I have put in will become fruitless
Cheers

Hi David,
It is just an assumption I made (Oracle's acquisition of Sun). There are some other threads going on about the current lack of service about this certification: thread1 and thread2.
Kind regards,
Roel
