I am using struts to design a shopping cart. I will include the option for the admin person to either update one product by selecting the item by ID# or multiple products by selecting items by category for eg. black/white images. The second option will display 6-10 items per page. The item price, description, image ect can be updated. My question is in regards to the items by category. I was wondering how should I save the changes i.e. should I do a batch update on all the information on the page, or should I initially save item info in a collection and in the end compare to see if the field has been changed?
Thank you all for your time

It is sorta covered in the JavaRanch Style Guide.
