I´m asking that because where I work, just isolated projects has adopted this Agile / SCRUM process. It seems that generated much bureaucracy. Do you agree with that? What the main path you suggest to follow in order to implement wholy the Agile process?

Jose,
Agile doesn't introduce inherent bureaucracy. What kinds of things do you consider unnecessary?

I think resistance comes from change and "we've always plodded along with waterfall."

Like Jeanne, I wonder to what kind of bureaucracy you are referring.

Anyway, there are lots of reasons to resist change:

- don't know whether results will actually be better
- failing with a widely accepted process is safer than failing with a new process
- don't know whether I can learn the things I have to relearn
- don't know whether I will like the change in my role
- I actually have data that tells me the change is to the worse

This resistance is one of the main things a good change agent needs to deal with productively.
