hi, this is my first post in this form, and i a absolute beginner to jsp and servlet , i am on a project which was coded 10 years back in java and jsp. now due to unavoidable situation i am on that project for upgradation work, have to add few forms and reports. so i am unable to inject new technology like jquery or json etc on that project.
now my problem is i am having a jsp page which display a table of data from a resultset with checkbox in it, i have to send that checked contents to the servlet for updating to the database, how to do that.

thanks in advance

I don't understand the logic that leads you to conclude you can't add any new technology, but whatever.

I don't really understand the question--you can't pass "a table" back to a servlet, you can submit a form.

For a servlet the data from the Client(Browser) comes as name/value parameters.
Each of your checkbox will have a name and value associated with it..

When it is checked.. that data is sent to the server.
