SCJD exam

Does SCJD cover J2EE subjects ? If I pass SCJD exam, can I claim myself as J2EE programmer?

which answers your question I would think.

If you follow Sun Certified Developer for the Java Platform, Standard Edition: Assignment (Step 1 of 2) (CX-310-252A) you'll get at the bottom of the page an overview of the APIs you have to use and which you don't (see "APIs relevant to the assignment").

Champion, in order to be a good JEE programmer, I'd recommend SCWCD and SCBCD. Also, the reading of the Core J2EE Patterns is a must.

SCJD is the most challenging Java Certification available. Passing the exam does not make you a JavaEE developer, although any Java EE API that you would want to learn would be a piece of cake for you
