I have two questions
One is would be subscribe your book to some one brand new to the Struts framework??
The second is more of a personal question. What made you to choose the path of writing books. I am curious regarding whether it is more for personal satisfaction or more to help other with your deeper knowledge on the subject etc.
Thanks,
Dan.

I think my book is excellent for someone new to Struts. It covers the design decisions and evolution that spawned Struts and similar frameworks.
The second is more of a personal question. What made you to choose the path of writing books. I am curious regarding whether it is more for personal satisfaction or more to help other with your deeper knowledge on the subject etc.

Interesting question. Before I delved into Computer Science, my first major was journalism, so I've always had a writing bent. I got interested in writing a book after writing numerous magazine articles and wondering what it would be like to write something bigger. This is my third book. It does provide a great deal of satisfaction when it's done (but agony while it's progressing) and you certainly learn a lot by writing about it. The genesis for this particular book is coverd on my web site: www.nealford.com
