How to open a file in GCViewer

Hi All,
I am new in GCviewer.I downloaded the GCviewer in my system successfully but i am unable to test an application through GCviewer.
In GCViewer i found FILE--> OPEN FILE options is there,i am giving some files name but it is not adding.
If you have any idea please share me.

You must run your program with option -Xloggc:file:
java -jar -Xloggc:/tmp/gc.log program.jar
(on windows use backshlash (\) instead of shash (/) in the log file name: -Xloggc:c:\tmp\gc.log)
then open this file from GCViewer.
