Cleared SCJP 1.6 with 66% First Attempt

I wrote the certification exam yesterday. December 19, 2009.

I had issues with the collections and generics alone which seems so vast and confusing i messed it up totally. I totally wanted to do a better job.

Well i would like to know if its a good score for first time attempts. Because anyway i am familiar with only c++ and i am just 18yrs of age.

and moreover i had only a basic theory wise knowledge not any programming practice to it.

well considering these stuff what would you recommend as the next line of study. i am ok with anything except the mobile application developer probably.

It may depends on the path you would like to go. You may consider SCWCD (Servlet, JSP etc..), SCBCD (EJBs), SCDJWS (web services), SCMAD (Mobile apps) etc... Or SCEA if you are well experienced

Thank you for clearing the facts.. i was initially unsure of what would be there in the various exams. Thanks for clearing it up. I believe i can do several of the next stage. And later on SCJA. I'm not yet so experienced. Just a beginner i guess.
