I'm posting this here, as I figure the people with the power to do something about it are most likely to see this here. There was a VERY inappropriate post in the SJCA forum. I've included a link (the post is quite offensive). I know it isn't my job to be a moderator, but this post has been up since yesterday, and the last thing I want is to see the Ranch being associated with this type of thing.

ZOINKS!!!

You are 100% correct in bringing this to our attention. I have moved the whole thread into the trash for now. We will be following up on this, I assure you.

Please do not hesitate to point this stuff out to us at any time. We honestly appreciate the help!!!

I too found this and sent to to Cameron because he was listed as the moderator. I had a bit of trouble trying to find a way to report an abusive post in either the FAQs or a function button to report something questionable. Maybe create a FAQ?

Had this been just someone name calling, or being a general jerk, I would have just messaged a moderator, or ignored it as a moderator would notice eventually. However, this was an extreme case of something that could even have legal ramifications, so I wanted to call attention to it ASAP.

Content inappropriate for posting here -- that's all that will be said.

Reporting such posts to the staff (even multiple staff members), or calling attention to them here, are both welcome and appropriate actions.

There is nothing wrong with it NOW. When I saw it on the 22nd, there was something not nice. I moved the whole thread to the trash as an immediate solution.

Another moderator felt the thread had some other worthwhile content, so s/he took the time to clean it up and put that version back. So the version you see does not have the not-nice-stuff in it.

I agree. Here's the link: http://ej-technologies/jprofiler - if it wasn't for jprofiler, we would need to run our stuff on 16 servers instead of 3.
