Sorry,My English is not good,I google search for a lot of information but are carried out on the windows environment to build information. Third, the best way to get Apache on your linux system is to use the package manager that comes with your system and let it install Apache for you - it will work out-of-the-box without any additional configuration.
Finally, you should have mentioned in this post that you are using Unbuntu 9.10 - you mentioned that in another post, but other readers reading this topic might not know that and as all Linux distros work slightly differently, knowing which distro you are using is often critical.
