Error 500: BeanUtils.populate

Hey there!
In a JSP, I've got a form with a submit button and an image button.
I used taglibs for that (<html:submit ...> and <html:image ...> .
I'm also using struts.
When I click the submit button, the form action will be called and the data of the form is saved in the Form bean.
When I click the image button, I will get an error message "Error 500: BeanUtils.populate" displayed in the browser window.
The image button also passes the mouse coordinates to the FormBean (something like myeditbutton.x, myeditbutton.y).
The submit button works because its property name is the same as the variable name in the FormBean. But the image button only (or also) sends the coordinates of the mouseclick. How can I get the real "value" as with the submit button?
I think this is a very known problem because: I cannot use image buttons. That can not be true =)
Thanks for any help!
