if i create my own exception class by extending an unchecked exception class....my class will be also unchecked......right? please someone confirm!!!

Why don't you create a program which doesn't handles your exception and then the compiler will confirm everything...

All children of checked exception remains checked exception type and children of unchecked exception remains unchecked exception type.
