MDB activation using annotations in WAS7

I am having a great deal of difficulty in configuring up a MDB using annotations. I am using WebSphere 7 and the Default Messaging Provider, which does support the JCA 1.5 spec, so activation specifications need to be used instead of Listener Ports.

This is my first experience with JMS, and I only have been using WebSphere for a few months. I know I need to create a set of administered objects (connection factories, destinations, etc...) but nothing that I try seems to work.

Does anyone have a working example of this? Or even a list of what object (and their associated properties) are required and how those objects are specified via annotations. If I can avoid using XML files (e.g. the ejb-jar.xml file), all the better. It is my understanding that Annotations are supposed to replace the need for ejb-jar, but I am not sure of even that.

One other thing. We are on a shoestring budget, so I do not have RAD.
