Problem with Back and Continue button

Hello All,

I am in process of creating a web application for a survery, I am using Jsp and servlets for this. I have back and cotinue buttons to traverse thru the pages back and forth.

I have implemented this in two ways:

1. To go back I made use of Javascript method history.back() and I could get the previous page data. But when I click on continue the page is reloaded and the data which is already selected is lost.

to overcome this problem

2. I have used Struts framework, with this am able to overcome the issue partially. Eg: Suppose that I have 5 Jsp's, I have submitted the data for first 2 pages and I have moved to 3rd Jsp with out submitting 3rd Jsp, if I go back to change other question answers and I come back to 3rd Jsp. Data which is already selected is lost. Where as if the Page is submitted, the data is selected is available.

I am performing the Data Base operations only at the last page once it is submitted.

Is there any way how can I track make data available even with out submitting data? Thanks in advance for help.

Happy New Year to all Ranchers...
