Partial Struts2 migration in webapplication

Hello All,

We currently have a web application that has been developed in Struts 1. As a part of a new phase, new screens are being developed using Struts 2.

Our jsp layout consists of a menu, header and footer, that has been developed in Struts 1.

When we try to include a Struts 2 jsp in the body section of the layout, the application is failing to execute because the Tiles framework does not allow different versions in one frame.

What can be a possible solution to the above issue?

One possibility is
a) Create a new layout for the new pages in Struts 2

Is there any other solution anyone can provide?

Thanks in advance.

Kunal
