Labels in Struts-Layout

I use Struts-Layout but I am not able of display a litteral string in the attribute "key" of many tags. The documentation says: "If the key does not have a corresponding value in the message resources, the key is displayed."
but if I write:
<layout:menuItem key="Eclipse" link=""/>
I see:
Where I'm wrong?

Take this on with a grain of salt but I have a hunch that the eclipse menu item is below a menu item named it. If so it may be concat of the higher level menu item and lower menu item.
