Hello,
to get JSTL-custom-tag funtionality in a JSP it is necessary as prescribed by a JSTL-tutorial to copy the "standard.jar" and "jstl.jar" into /MyWebApp/WEB-INF/lib . I did this but still there's no JSTL funtionality. Im working with netbeans 6.8 with an integrated Apache 6, I did also add both .jar-files to the web-app's Libraries. Under Tools--->Libraries both jar-files are also added.

For example, i cant use this, it does not produce any output:

What can i do to get JSTL-custom-tags availible under Netbeans 6.8?

Maybe you care, that ${sentence} alone does produce output. Netbeans does not recognize JSTL.

well maybe it's because you did not import the JSTL taglib before using it ...

You should have this at the top of your JSP document

That's the wrong URI!

The URI should be: http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core

It's not nit-picking when it will result in a ton of hard-to-diagnose errors.
