Prepare with K&B and solve a lot of mock exams. Make sure the concepts are pretty clear in your head.
Stick to this forum and you will get high marks i pre-assume.

Allan,

Can you explain what you mean by 'dump' questions?

Spot false dilemmas now, ask me how!

Hi Allan,

Sometimes people try to cheat on exams, and one way to do that is to ask for 'dump' questions. If you want to practice with 'mock exam questions' you can ask about that here and you can discuss those here, but you can't ask for dump questions here, they are illegal and they amount to cheating.

Thanks,

Bert

Well,
It same like 'dumping' your girlfriend. Same it means cheat on the exam also and you can discuss your
problem on Javaranch but you cannot ask for illegal material here. It is against the policy of java-ranch.

Well for mock questions check this

Mostly it takes upto two months to do well in the exam and proper preparation is ofcourse needed. Solve a lot of
mock questions and good concepts will be a key to score high in the exams..

I'd encourage you to focus on learning Java inside out, rather than focusing on marks. And avoid dumps, please. Nothing makes a cert as pointless as when lots of people find ways to pass without really knowing the information. It ruins it for the rest of us who worked hard for it.

There's nothing wrong with memorizing charts, like the one on page 565 of K&B. But cramming in the short term results in poor achievement in the long term. Programming (from what I can see) is a long-term discipline, and a short cram session cannot make you good at it. If you want to succeed, get used to taking your time and learning concepts, not just facts.

If you've never programmed before, spend 3-6 months of hardcore prep and coding and you might be ready. Use Sierra/Bates' book and spend a lot of time on mock exams and JavaRanch, and best of luck.
