I actually think the documentation for groovy is pretty good. There's not much to it anyway. Just some new concepts. And there are plenty of books.

I've got the GIA, Groovy Cookbook, and Groovy Recipes books, and trying to find answers to questions is hard. The javadocs for the project were totally unhelpful, at least the last time I checked. It's unfortunate, because I really like programming in Groovy.

Well, with Groovy being a dynamic language I never really considered the JavaDoc to be a good resource to begin with. Have you been asking questions here? I haven't noticed any. Also, the groovy mailing list is VERY helpful.

It's been about nine months since the last time I used Groovy. I don't think I realized at the time that JR had a Groovy forum. I'll definitely keep it, and your other suggested resource, in mind.

I find that the available documentation for Groovy is pretty helpful. I agree that in addition to the web site (full of helpful examples under the documentation link), I rely on "Groovy in Action" a lot.

That said, any time I've had an issue I couldn't figure out, I've asked a question on the Groovy user's email list. I've never gone more than a couple hours without getting a helpful reply. The Groovy community is one of the most friendly ones I've ever encountered.
