<a4j:outputPanel> data cached?

I am new to JSF and trying to fix this issue since 2 days.

For the code above, when I enter a value in the searchTerm textbox say "text1". If it is available, the updated values are shown in outputPanel id="_notice".
For a text say "text2" that is not available, the previous values in the panel remain as it is. I do not see any change.

I think whenever I click the search button all the output panel elements are not getting processed. Please let me know if I am doing some mistake.
