Hi friends i am new to this forum and i am also giving SCJP 1.5 or 1.6(not decided yet).
I have been told to prepare a project for the exam using java. I actually want to know what importance is given to this project i make.
Also what should be difficulty level of this project. How big should it be.
Can any one suggest me some projects to be referred before starting my own project. Can anyone show me some code project codes, so that i come to know what my project should be like.
Any reply is appreciated.
Thanks.

SCJP 1.5 or 1.6(not decided yet).

Go for SCJP 6 (1.6), don't even give it a second thought.
I have been told to prepare a project for the exam using java.

Who said that?? The SCJP exam doesn't require you to prepare and submit any project...

That project has nothing to do with SCJP. It effects your score at NIIT. If you still need help with the project, I'll move this topic to the appropriate forum for you...

Generally a CRUD application of any kind is what NIIT expects as a project. The level of complexity and features depend upon your level of knowledge...
