Just the language? Or the class libraries as well? If the latter, then there's no way in this short timeframe - there's simply too much to learn. If the former, then a month is still too short to achieve but you can make good progress on that (assuming you have written code before in some other language). Start with a good introductory book like Head First Java and the Sun Java Tutorial. If you haven't worked with OO languages before, you may also want to peruse something like Head First OOA&D.
