<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE hibernate-configuration PUBLIC "-//Hibernate/Hibernate Configuration DTD//EN"

<property name="connection.characterEncoding">UTF-8</property>
<property name="connection.driver_class">com.mysql.jdbc.Driver</property>
<property name="connection.url">jdbc:mysql://localhost:3306/tricky</property>
<property name="connection.username">root</property>
<property name="connection.password">admin</property>

<property name="dialect">org.hibernate.dialect.MySQLDialect</property>
<!-- <property name="current_session_context_class">thread</property> -->
<mapping resource="com/tricky/vo/User.hbm.xml"/>

Yes. Include the following property in the hibernate.cfg.xml file.

<property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">create</property>

Once the schema is created you can change this property to update as below to avoid overriting the schema every time.

<property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto">update</property>

Thanks and Regards, Pradeep Kumar

schema is where it contains group of tables,views
