Hello,

does somebody knows if it is possible to query the status of an application in WLS 10.3 with a java program?
I tried to solve this with JMX, but I don't get any information saying "Application x is active on server y".

Thank you in advance.

What is your definition of application status ? Whether the application is up and running or down ?

Hello Deepak,

the thing I wan't to find out is "is the application is up and running or down" and "on which server(s) is the application running, if it is running"

You can hit the application URL to check if it is up. As for which server, the admin console can tell you this.

Hello Deepak,

as you could read in my initial post I want to use a Java program to query this information.
Accessing the console this way isn't so easy to do, I think.

If you do not want to use a console then

1. Use java / native tool to write a program that will open a Url connection every X seconds. If the connection is successful then your application is up.

2. I think JMX does tell you if the application is in Running mode. Is that of any help to you ?

Don't get me started about those stupid light bulbs.
