How to validate a radio button

I used the required validation for the radio buttion (by specifying in the validation.xml), but this is not displaying any error message..
This required validation is working for the normal text boxes..
Can't we do validation for the radio buttons in struts. pls clarify.

It works for radio. There's not much to clarify.
