Hmmmm.... It looks like JForum shortens the link if it is a bit too long. A little annoying but understandable. Regardless, the full title of the book is "Language Implementation Patterns: Create Your Own Domain-Specific and General Programming Languages".

[blushing] thanks.

I've been meaning to write this book for a long time. I've been fascinated by language implementation techniques ever since I took a compiler class as an undergrad. This book kinda summarizes the key patterns I've run across after building a bazillion language interpreters and translators. Lots of other cool stuff could go in, but I think it covers the main ideas to get people some respectable skills.

Some useful information posted in another topic:

Burk Hufnagel wrote:Fellow Ranchers,
This isn't a question, but I think it's a useful post anyway. I always like to see the table of contents (TOC) for a book but Amazon doesn't list it, so here's a link to the book's page from the publisher: http://pragprog.com/titles/tpdsl/language-implementation-patterns.

BTW, in addition to the full table of contents there's also several excerpts from the book available on the same page.

Enjoy,
Burk

Hi Pablo, after looking at the table of contents, is there any topic that you wish I had included or covered in more depth?
