dynamically change gui components attributes

hello java veterans, hope you all having a great day

my question is the java part of my project is kinda stuck atm, i intend to make a tool that will control the layout of gui components of running processes dynamically, and i had good results with exe's and webpages .. but when i started researching doing the same for java apps it didn't work as well since i couldn't find anything similar to windows messages structure .. i found out the JAB can't modify the text on labels or buttons or their positions, since most of them will be read-only attributes, can't really use RMI since i don't want want to have a text changing java code in the app i want to change, and the tool i'm building will be none-java application.

any ideas of how to approach this ? parsing the class file perhaps ?
