I installed it yesterday and I'm pretty pleased. It's based on Ubuntu but seems to be a bit more polished. Most popular distros seems to be merging closer and closer in feature sets and usability. Just wondered if anyone else was using Mint and if they like it or if they have run into issues.

I used to (@home & @work). It's more polished than other Debian-forks, but the same usability as the underhelming Ubuntu version. To tell the truth I see no real plus to Ubuntu, only a bit shiny and well targeted utility-pack and graphic enchancement.

Linux mint is currently what I am using on my laptop which is what I am using as I type this message. My favorite thing I like about it is that is comes with all the codecs you will pretty much need. Ubuntu allows for non free codecs to be installed but they don't install them by default. Also I like how their software installer is written in python so it can be easily modified. Other than that it is pretty much the same as ubuntu.

Oh one last thing is there community. They take great pride in getting feedback from their community. Kind of like saying even the little guy who doesn't program has a voice that can be heard.
