I unlocked it, looks like it was left in the locked state when edited.

My apologies. When I edited it, I knew that logically the thread should have been locked. However my browser kept telling me that the thread was unlocked, and I could not get it to display anything different. So I had made the mistaken assumption that all was ok with it.

Thanks Eric (and/or EFH) for fixing this.
